Initiatives for the Isenberg School of Management

Scholarships and fellowships

To keep Isenberg accessible to all students, we must increase funding for summer programs for high school students, merit- and need-based scholarships for undergraduates, and fellowships for promising graduate students.

Named faculty positions

A titled position is the most meaningful honor we can bestow on our faculty. These positions allow Isenberg to recruit and retain top scholars and teachers and give them the freedom and flexibility to pursue promising research.

Grant funding

Funding administered by the school supports time-sensitive research and teaching activities, and enables researchers and faculty to attend conferences, expand professional connections, and showcase exceptional work.

Career development and success

Donor support will help the Office of Career Success expand access to its services and resources. It will also ensure that Isenberg can foster ongoing innovation in career development programs at all levels.

Experiential learning opportunities

Isenberg aims to increase funding that will help students participate in study abroad programs, business-focused trips and internships, and other valuable experiential learning opportunities outside the classroom.

Teaching and research technology

Support for the Office of Learning and Research Technology at Isenberg will help develop and administer technology applications and new teaching modalities that benefit faculty and students at all levels.

“I chose Isenberg and UMass because I knew the professors would help me achieve my goals and they’d be there to support me in my endeavors.”

Weaving inclusivity into business education

In spring 2023, Isenberg became one of the first undergraduate business programs in the nation to require a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) course. Students learn about DEI concepts and best practices in business through discussions on allyship, inclusive leadership, and unconscious bias.
