Centering the ideas and voices of young people of color
Through university partnerships with local schools and communities, the Center of Racial Justice and Youth Engaged Research promotes research and social action to foster educational equity and effect change across all educational contexts.
Juvenile justice and educational technology
Center for Youth Engagement Director Michael Krezmien received a multi-year grant from the Apple Community Education Initiative to enhance the education of incarcerated youth. His project uses tablet technology to individualize instruction in ways that improve the learner’s potential to earn their GED.
